The Simple Woman's Daybook: Spring

FOR TODAY
Outside my window...it's cooler and rainer than it has been. This weekend was in the 80s and now it's in the 60s. I'm ready for spring!!
I am thinking...how frustrating this whole adoption thing is. We try to get ahead only to get knocked back and behind. I am at peace with the process at the minute, and have realized that we've only been at this for five months. Other families wait years for their adoption to finalize. We've only got a couple more months (hopefully)
I am thankful for...the friends and family who I have. I'm blessed to be able to experience adoption with multiple families in our "circle" of friends. I'm so grateful for the friends who lift me up when I'm down.
From the kitchen...we had venison spaghetti tonight without Eric. He was playing ball tonight, so we ate without him.
I am wearing...my pjs. It's almost 9:00 here. Really past my bedtime, but I needed some writing time.
I am creating...a quilt for Lyubov's room. So far, I've cut it out. That's as far as I've gotten.
I am going...to Jackson this weekend to watch #1 all-star play in his first away-from-home tournament. I don't know who's more excited me or him!!
I am reading...The Connected Child.
I am hoping...that our court documents make it to our daughter's country soon. I'm ready to go get her.
I am hearing...Phineas and Ferb. Jules is watching TV on the couch since our air has gone out upstairs, it's much cooler for her in the living room.
Around the house...Everyone is heading to bed. We get up early (me at 5:15; the kids at 5:45; and we're out the door before 6:30)
One of my favorite things...sewing. I love to piddle on the machine. I'm not a creator. I wish I were. I wish I could just create out of my head and go with it, like Dana at Made or Little Lizard or all the other crafty momma's out there.
A few plans for the rest of the week: it's testing time at school, so that's a big deal. I plan on taking breakfast to my students one day during testing. We'll be watching JD in a ball tourney this weekend.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

You'll need all the info in that book and it will make a world of difference in your baby's healing and attaching!!! Trust me, I'm doing it right now and the benefits are astounding people left and right.

God bless you through this time of waiting for adoption. I have never been through it, but I'm sure it's nervewracking.

Great family photo!

I'm wondering how you pronounce Lyubov's name?
